For my Junior Geophysics class I was required to write a paper, with a topic of my choosing, that applied my knowledge of Geophysics to some geologic topic. Since I was interested in the Earth's core and the interaction of the earth's core and the Earth's mantle,, I chose this subject (D" and the ULVZ) as the topic for this paper. This paper was a term paper for my first Geophysics class. I enjoyed writing this paper and this topic is still of considerable interest to me.
