The following pictures depict the beginnings of a very nice bedroom set. Below you will find an armoire made of Cherry. In some cases it is better to use a plywood laminate due to concerns with expansion. The sides of this piece are exactly that. The panels in the doors are 1/4 " cherry plywood as well. The interior has a cherry dowel for hanging clothing articles and a storage space above. The doors are locking and the interior is fully finished. The final finish on this piece is three coats of watco with two sprayed coats of Deft. All of the hardware on this armoire, as well as the nightstands below, are antique brass. The interior of an armoire can be of any form and function ranging from chest of drawers design to this design where there is room for hanging articles, or possibly a combination of both. This armoire if 7' tall, 2' deep and 4' wide. The starting price for a simpler like shown below would be approximately $2400.
I built these nightstands to match the armoire above. They are also built out of Cherry with the use of Cherry laminate plywood on the side and the interior base. The top is solid 1" Cherry. These pieces are finished in the same manner as the armoire. These nightstands are taller than average to accompany the bed that will be designed to go with this bedroom set. The starting price for these nightstands is $2000. This price will most likely cover a wide range of designs.
