At Angelheart Woodworking we are committed to the art of woodworking. We specialize in custom furniture of heirloom quality and hope that those who enjoy beautiful furniture do so to the degree that we enjoy creating it. The art of woodworking requires careful attention to detail and a great deal of patience, and we hope it shows in all that we do. Our furniture is designed and built with the intention that it will endure the test of time. Many furniture stores offer products that at first may appeal to many, but with time show the flaws associated with haste. Many furniture manufacturers claim custom furniture, but give only a moderate degree of quality. They use fiberboard and plywood, lacquer finishes that look more like plastic than a real finish, they use real wood products only when necessary, and then it is not of a select grade. At Angelheart Woodworking we use only hand selected woods, every piece of wood on every piece we build is hand selected in it's rough grade. We mill every piece to ensure, to the best of our ability, that it will stay true and straight. We avoid using particle board and fiberboard laminates at all costs. We use finishing techniques that are used by the pros. We avoid metal fasteners where possible. The end result is true "old-world" craftsmanship. Sure, you can find "bargains" in comparison at the major furniture outlets, but those products cannot match the quality, or the beauty of the creations at Angelheart Woodworking. That is my guarantee to you !

History/Experience:

I have been working in the construction trade for over 18 years as of present. My first piece of real furniture was completed nearly 18 years ago and ever since then I have held a real passion for that particular aspect of the construction industry (fine woodworking). When I first started in the trades I learned of specialty finishes which allows me to utilize a wide variety of techniques in the finishing of all of my products. I then moved into the building sector and was introduced into fine finish woodworking which allowed me to develop the techniques I use in the design and construction of all of my pieces. Over the past 7 years the sole expression of my creative talents has been in this realm with an occasional participation in a large construction project of which I would manage while handling the finish phases.

At Angelheart Woodworking we offer a wide variety of products. Since all of our products are of custom design and hand-crafted, there are no two alike. Our commitment to quality is rivaled by few and we believe that it shows in every piece. On the "Products" link above you will find examples of works that I have completed. These consist of pieces of furniture all the way to some of construction projects I have completed.

Geophysics:

In addition to this business venture I am also attending the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology seeking to receive a B.S. in Geophysics. At the top of this page you will find a link that will take you to related information regarding this endeavor. I encourage you to investigate these pages as Geophysics is a fascinating field and is one of my other passions. Also, you will find many wonderful pictures from around the country which I took on various field experiences I have had in this endeavor.

Origin and the Business Name:

Many ask where our name comes from and to them many times I am only to offer a smile. To the left is Angel. He came into my life 9 years ago. Over the first few months he did not have a name, I let him choose his name by observing him for the first few months. One day I went out into the yard and found him intent on something, what it was I had no clue but the measure of his exuberance was too much for me to resist. I had to investigate ! He was on the ground and in between his front legs I found a scared little, and wet, field mouse. It was obvious at first sight that Angel had no intention of harming this little creature, he was simply enthralled with this new creature he had found. I picked up this mouse and held it in my hand to make sure that no harm had come to it, all the while Angel was simply sitting there wagging his tail, ears perked. This little creature surely would have died from fright if anything. I took it to the porch and set it where Angel could not get to it and turned to find Angel lying in the grass, stretching as if eternity had just found him. It was then that he received his name. Over the years Angel came to work with me everyday, he always seemed enthralled as I built and created for those years. He would sit and watch, far enough away to not interrupt but yet close enough to observe. He just seemed so content with just that. When I started this business I realized that the attributes he possessed were very similar to the care I take in all my woodworking creations. He was content, patient, and happy with exactly what he was doing. That is exactly how I feel when I am building a piece of furniture. And thus my business had a name !
